Friday, 9/20 - "Campeones"

Screening Begins: 7:00pm

Discoveries: Awakening, short film by Noah Semeria
Campeones, comedy directed by Javier Fesser.  A basketball coach is sentenced to community service, forced to work with a team of mentally disabled players. What seems like torture at the beginning because of the “peculiarities” of his players, will turn into a learning process for Marcos and the group.

The Legend of Toto, animated short by Blanca Carola Montoya
Mariachi High, film by Kim Connell, Ilana Trachtman, and Kelly Sheehan.  Mariachi High presents a year in the life of a champion mariachi ensemble from Zapata High School on the Rio Grande in South Texas.
Join us in celebrating Latin music and movies at this free outdoor community event.  Free popcorn, water and other treats will be available on a first come first serve basis.  We recommend bringing your own blankets and lawn chairs to the event as well. (Back up location information will be provided the day of in the event of rain.)
